Sarnia Marine Insurance Brokerage Co. Ltd., was founded in Limassol, Cyprus in 1984, as an insurance broker specializing in Marine Insurance, and in 2017 celebrated 33 years of service to the shipping community.

Sarnia Marine has an excellent reputation established on trust, integrity and commitment and has a team of dedicated multi-lingual professionals qualified in Insurance, Risk Management and Law, with many years’ experience in the insurance industry. Sarnia Marine offers a very professional and personal approach to all of their clients’ insurance needs.

Sarnia Marine is well-known for its expertise in claims handling and also acts as a P&I correspondent for a number of P & I Clubs within the International Group (North of England P&I Club and Steamship Mutual P&I Club), as well as for British Marine (which is part of the QBE Group) and Navigators, another A rated fixed premium insurer (Re-insured in Lloyds of London).

Sarnia Marine has an established wide network of contacts with surveyors, and is therefore also able to offer their shipping clients the benefits of complimentary services such as arranging a variety of surveys. In addition Sarnia Marine offers a wide array of loss prevention advice, offering practical advice and guidelines on topical issues.

Sarnia Marine is made up of professionals who possess a vast experience consisting of lawyers and qualified insurance personnel. Sarnia Marine’s priority is to ensure the clients’ interests are protected from the outset of a claim and potential exposure is minimised. Sarnia Marine will provide the appropriate liaison with underwriters, P&I correspondents, surveyors, technical experts, lawyers and claimants on behalf of the clients.  Sarnia Marine is actively involved with both the clients and insurers from first notification of a claim (or potential claim) up until the claim is either resolved, or settled. Their specialist knowledge of the various insurance policies enables them to ensure the clients either avoid, or settle a third party claim on the best possible terms, or maximise on recovery for claims involving damage to the vessel.
